Following pertinent laws, rules, and regulations, certified S&T foundations may avail of the DOST Grants-in-Aid (GIA) Program provided that the PPA/s are aligned with the current DOST priorities and thrusts and the S&T activities classified by the General Appropriations Act (GAA).

DOST-certified S&T foundations, upon compliance with the applicable rules and regulations, with the endorsement of the DOST Undersecretary for Regional Operations and concurrence of the Head of the concerned DOST agency/office, may be provided applicable technical support, knowledge, and guidance from the pool of experts and scientists of the DOST for their various programs, projects, activities, and initiatives upon communication of such needs through the SFU.

DOST-certified S&T foundations, in adherence to relevant rules and regulations, with the endorsement of the DOST Undersecretary for Regional Operations and concurrence of the Head of the concerned DOST agency/office, may be granted access to the different specialized research facilities and equipment of the DOST as well as laboratories that are supported by the DOST upon communication of such needs through the SFU.

DOST-certified S&T foundations may be included in the various capacity-building, skills-enhancement, and technical development and training programs and workshops of the DOST to enhance and complement the capabilities and skills of scientists and researchers of the S&T foundations.

Certified S&T foundations may be allowed to collaborate on the various research programs, projects, activities, and initiatives of the DOST through its specialists, scientists, other government agencies, and local and international partners in the private sector.

S&T foundations, upon compliance with the applicable rules and regulations, may be allowed to adapt or adopt and deploy to their beneficiaries the various technologies developed and supported by the DOST.

Technical experts affiliated with the certified S&T foundations may be recognized and engaged by the DOST for its PPAs and services. These experts may be engaged, upon their acceptance, through their inclusion in the DOST pool of technical experts for consultancy within the DOST System and its partners in the government and the private sector.

Certified S&T foundations, upon meeting the established criteria and subject to the judgment of the awards committee, could participate in and vie for recognition in the various awards programs given by the DOST to its partners to acknowledge and commend their contributions to advancing the science, technology, and innovations (STI) agenda in the country.

The DOST, upon the express consent of the certified S&T foundations, may promote, publicize, showcase, and feature the various programs, projects, activities, milestone accomplishments, success stories, and achievements, particularly their socio-economic impacts, through the various channels utilized by the DOST.

The DOST may provide assistance and support to the various governmental and regulatory compliance, processes, and intellectual property concerns of the certified S&T foundations concerning their research, programs, projects, and activities.

The DOST, with the endorsement of the DOST Undersecretary for Regional Operations and approval of the DOST Secretary, may authorize the access of certified S&T foundations to available vital and relevant scientific data, research findings, and information under the purview of the DOST that may be beneficial to the various undertakings of the foundation.
